Pablo Allison - Photographer

Pablo Allison was born in England and grew up in Mexico City. He later returned to permanently live in the UK where he completed his degree in Documentary Photography and Photojournalism at The University of Wales, Newport. Control, division, cultural contrasts and displacement are some ideas explored through his art practice.

In 2012 he completed a photography commission lead by the University of Nottingham and funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) exploring the role that women played towards the liberation of Latin America.

His work has been presented nationally at City Hall (GLA) and Photomonth in London, the New Art Exchange in Nottingham, Aston University in Birmingham, LOOK12 Photography Festival in Liverpool and at the Instituto Cervantes in Manchester and internationally at the Centro Cultural de España in Mexico City.

Pablo’s work has been published in magazines and newspapers such as in The Huffington Post, National Geographic and Vice Magazine among others.
